The Nodaway County Economic Development Corporation (NCED) was awarded $210,000 in Missouri NAP Tax Credits to recapitalize its Revolving Loan Fund, encouraging private donations with a 70% state tax credit to support local business growth and commercial revitalization.
MARYVILLE, MO - Nodaway County Economic Development Corporation (NCED) has been awarded $210,000 in 70% Missouri Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) Tax Credits from the Missouri Department of Economic Development. This funding will help strengthen Nodaway County’s local economy by encouraging private contributions to recapitalize NCED’s Revolving Loan Fund, which will be reinvested in commercial structure revitalization and renovation projects in Nodaway County.
The NAP Tax Credit program provides Missouri-based businesses and individuals with business income—including financial institutions, corporations, and certain sole proprietors—an opportunity to significantly reduce their state tax liability while supporting economic development in their own community.
“NAP tax credits are a powerful tool to encourage investment in local projects that make a visibleimpact,” said Josh McKim, Executive Director of NCED. “These contributions will help recapitalize our Revolving Loan Fund, which supports small business growth, job creation, and the revitalization of commercial properties throughout Nodaway County.”
Donors will receive a 70% state tax credit on eligible contributions, which can be carried forward for up to five years. Funds raised through this program will be directed toward projects that help reinvigorate downtown districts, support business expansion, and strengthen the local economy.
“We encourage accountants, financial advisors, and business owners to share this opportunity,” added Kim Mildward, Project Manager for NCED.
“It’s a great way to maximize a tax benefit while making a lasting investment in the community’s future.”
