Nodaway Chorale Offers Annual Scholarship Award

The Nodaway Chorale is now accepting applications for its 2026 Scholarship Award, open to all graduating high school seniors in Nodaway County with a passion for vocal music.

MARYVILLE, MO – The Board of Trustees of the Nodaway Chorale has announced that applications are being accepted for the group’s 2026 Scholarship Award. The $1000 award is available to all eligible high school seniors in every school district in Nodaway County.

The purpose of the scholarship award is to encourage students who demonstrate a passion for and commitment to vocal music, to display the value the Chorale places on choral music, and to provide financial assistance to qualified graduating high school seniors to further their education.

Recipients are not required to focus their future educational plans on music.

Past award recipients are Jaci Elston and Kate Wright, Maryville R-II in 2025, Ivy Goldsmith, Maryville R-II in 2024, Cassidy Kline, Maryville R-II and Jenna Mason, Jefferson C-123 in 2023, Maggie Graham, Maryville R-II in 2022, Sydnee Dean, Jefferson C-123, and McKenna Liles, Maryville R-II, both in 2021, and Addison Hall, Maryville R-II, in 2020.

Complete information and application forms have been distributed to music teachers, guidance counselors, and principals at all high schools in Nodaway County. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2026, with the awards being granted in late spring. Individuals who wish to help build the Scholarship Award fund for future recipients may send financial donations with “Scholarship Award” clearly

The Nodaway Chorale is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and donations may be tax-deductible.

The Nodaway Chorale, founded in 2006, is a non-audition, secular, 60-singer mixed voice chorus with singers from various communities in Nodaway County.
