MARYVILLE, MO — Downtown Maryville officially launched its 2026 market season with a successful Spring Into Fun celebration on Saturday, May 9th, drawing 2,300 attendees to the courthouse square for a full day of entertainment, shopping, and family activities.
The event featured 80 vendors offering handmade, homegrown, and specialty products, along with five food trucks serving guests throughout the day. Visitors also enjoyed live performances from five entertainers in the Pocket Park, contributing to the festive atmosphere and strong community turnout.
A highlight of the event was the second annual car show, which featured 72 registered vehicles from across the region. The Miss Ville Classic competition welcomed 10 participants, with Cassie Osborn crowned as the contest winner. Abby Siepel was named first runner-up, and Ashlee Hendrix received second runner-up honors.
“It was amazing to see downtown filled with families, visitors, vendors, and community members throughout the entire day,” stated Downtown Maryville vendor coordinator Autumn Quimby. “Spring Into Fun continues to grow each year, and this year’s attendance and participation made it one of our most successful events yet. The energy and excitement throughout the event really showed how much this market means to the community.”
Spring Into Fun serves as the official kickoff to the Downtown Maryville Market season, which will continue weekly on Saturdays, beginning May 16, from 8 a.m. to noon, in the Nodaway Valley Bank parking lot at Fourth and Buchanan streets.
The Downtown Maryville Market features a variety of homemade and homegrown vendors, offering fresh produce, baked goods, handcrafted items, specialty products, and more.
Community members are also encouraged to participate in several ongoing family-friendly programs throughout the market season. Children may register for the Kids Club, which offers weekly educational activities that promote healthy living and community involvement. Registration is also open for the annual pumpkin growing contest. Participants may visit the volunteer tent during market hours to register and receive complimentary pumpkin seeds.
