CLARINDA, IA - A Clarinda man is facing a felony assault charge following an incident in October. Court records show that Cody Dean Nevada Carlson was arrested for assault with intent to commit sexual abuse (causing bodily injury), a class D felony.
According to a criminal complaint from the Clarinda Police Department, the incident occurred in October 2025. Carlson is alleged to have bitten the victim multiple times, causing injury, despite being told to stop. A sentencing hearing is currently scheduled for January 26 at 9 a.m.
